U.S. Marine Corps Forces Korea (MARFORK) honors Captain Ko Hyun Jong for serving as the Republic of Korea Marine Corps Liaison Officer to MARFORK Aug. 26. Capt. Ko plays a critical role in assisting MARFORK during operations by serving as a vital link between two staffs from two separate nations. Liaison Officers from both the U.S. Marine Corps and ROK Marine Corps continue the tradition of brotherhood between the two services and build upon the ROK-US Alliance that has stood for over 70 years.
